Hand-dyed Araucania Aysen has lovely sheen and softness with an exquisite blend of fibers. Spun as a single-ply heavy worsted yarn, “Aysen” is beautifully crafted in Chile of 70% merino wool, 20% alpaca & 10% silk and available in generous 191-yard hanks. Since the various fibers absorb the dyes differently, you can experience superb color variations and discover your own unique creation in shawls, scarves, sweaters, jackets & more.
Please Note: No dye lots are used for Araucania yarns because each hank is distinctive. For greater consistency in your projects, the manufacturer recommends you buy all yarn needed at the same time. Also recommended is that you knit with 2 hanks in alternating rows to assure an overall blended effect.
