This is our “sheer”. We have a set of wood deer donated to The Fiber Closet for decorations. Donna lovingly turned them into sheep. We have had so much fun with everyone suggesting names and ways to decorate the window with them. Thanks for the “sheer” Ann.

** Come in to check out all our lovely shades of green fiber.

As you know, The Fiber Closet was closed on March 7th while Cheryl, Donna & Gina attended the annual meeting of SWIFT – Spinners & Weavers of Indiana Fiber & Textiles ( . The meeting was held at Conner Prairie ( in Fishers, IN. There was a potluck luncheon and the program was presented by the Conner Prairie Sheep to Shawl mentor Sue Payne and one of her delightful teens. The election of board members and discussion of the by-laws were the main topics of the business meeting. Gina was elected to the office of Newsletter Editor. It sounds like SWIFT is really going to take off in the near future. This would be a wonderful time to join if you are a spinner or weaver. The dues are inexpensive and the rewards have great potential. SWIFT will be front and center in preparations for the 2017 Midwest Weavers Conference ( .

The newest yarn featured in our “Hall of Yarn” is a wonderful 100% Alpaca from Lookout Farm ( in Terre Haute, IN.
This wonderful yarn comes in a skeins of approximately 200 yards. We have several beautiful natural colors. Each skein has a picture of the actual animal the fiber comes from. We also have a few skeins dyed in rich colors. Hurry in to get yours before they are gone.
