Meet Donna Hockett.

Donna Is the owner & creative force behind SweetDottieLong ( . She has joined her talents with Cheryl & Gina and will be offering many of her items for sale at The Fiber Closet. She makes the most delightful dolls, bags, home decor items and fiber creations.
She previously owned a store in Waveland, IN offering her creative works. After closing her store and working in industry for many years, she has lots of ideas & projects flying from her brain out through her busy fingers.
You can hear her machines whirring along in the back room nearly every day. Donna adds sewing, knitting, crochet, spinning, machine and hand embroidery, and a fabulous sense of humor to The Fiber Closet.
Please stop in soon and welcome Donna in her new adventure. Her items are also offered online in her Etsy Sho ( p ( and her website ( .

Cheryl has fired up her knitting machines. She will be producing a line of her own designs of mitts, hats, garments, etc for the Covered Bridge Festival. ( This will be a great addition to everything she already has for sale in the shop including her lovely hand-dyed yarns.

Gina is currently obsessed with bead weaving. She has been learning, experimenting & doing lots of “trial & error” weaving lately. Look for her to have several items for sale soon in the shop and online ( .

Stitches Midwest Review

One of the highlights every year of our trip to ** Stitches Midwest (
in Schaumburg is the chance to visit the ladies from the** Interknit Machine Knitting Guild (

“The Interknit Machine Knitting Guild was founded in the fall of 1995 for the support, education and fellowship of machine knitters of all experience and expertise levels regardless of the make or model of machine used. Interknit is not affiliated with any knit shop, but is self supporting.”
The guild holds regular meetings the 2nd Sat of each month in Glen Ellyn, IL.
They do such inspiring work as these pictures demonstrate. Their guild donated 191 hats to ** Halos of Hope (
during Stitches Midwest.
