** Midway through the 2014 Parke County Covered Bridge Festival

** Just a quick update on how things are going.
————————————————————

Great! Everything is going great.

The crowds are good despite the somewhat dreary weather. We are expecting even better crowds starting tomorrow when the forecast is calling for absolutely perfect fall weather. We are thrilled with the amount of sales we have had so far. Our demonstrations have been quite popular. We’ve made lots of new friends in the shop and catching up with customers that visit us every year during thefestival (http://www.coveredbridges.com) is always a treat.

Here are a few images of the Festival so far.

============================================================
Melvina Miller of ** Hollyhock Hill Designs (http://hollyhockhilldesigns.com/)
in Nashville, IN was here on Monday to do demonstrations of rug hooking. We carry a line of her dyed wool, kits, supplies and hand drawn canvases. She is incredibly talented and has a delightful personality. Melvina has been featured in numerous publications. We are excited to be associated with her not just during the festival but all year long.
Her hand-dyed wool, bolt cloth & bundles have been very popular. Customers have just fallen in love with her pins mademade of wool strips. ** (http://www.hollyhockhilldesigns.com)
Our best-selling items seem to vary by the day. But consistant sellers have been the many delightful luxury yarns we carry, needles & notions, patterns, felted wool and gift items.
